Plot

The most eagerly awaited sequel in comics' history comes to Image Comics as Matt Wagner introduces his legendary hero, Kevin Matchstick, to a whole new generation of comic book fans! Matchstick is a powerful young man who seems to wield many of the powers of the mythological hero King Arthur, including his mystical weapon, Excalibur. But somehow in the 20th century, Excalibur has transformed from a shining steel sword into a sizzling magic baseball bat! As the series opens, Matchstick and his partner Joe deal with three deadly harpies, when something unexpected turns up. As their crusade progresses, they are joined by other mystical warriors, and all seem to wield powers of legendary heroes from the past. Throughout it all, Matchstick searches for the second Mage, the one who will help him fulfill his ultimate destiny.
