In these stories that immediately follow BATMAN: YEAR ONE, the Dark Knight must rescue Catwoman from the clutches of the Joker, contend with a newly paroled Mad Hatter and deal with the maddening double crimes of Two-Face! While this might seem like a normal week for Batman, he also jets over to London to work on an unsolved Sherlock Holmes mystery with the Elongated Man and Slam Bradley.

Aunque cronológicamente estos números se publicaron después de Crisis en Tierras infinitas, y así se recopilan, como la etapa post-crisis, el aire que desprenden es todavía anterior a las mismas. Todos los villanos e incluso el tipo de historias son más bronze-age que otra cosa. En el tomo tenemos algunos números con los que empezó su segundo volumen Zinco, y otros que dejaron en el tintero. Se entiende. Las historias con el Joker, el Espantapájaros y el Sombrero Loco, así como el número de aniversario aun hoy en días son muy disfrutables, pero los números de Tie-In con Legends y Millenium y la historia de Dos-Caras son bastante malos. En cuanto al dibujo hay un poco de todo. Los geniales números de Alan Davis, uno de los primeros trabajos de Breyfogle en Batman y algunos autores de relleno.
