Volumen que se describe la situación de las diferentes Atalayas que componen la defensa contra la ecuación de la anti-vida. A destacar el retorno de ya-sabes-quien y la segunda parte en la que se toman ideas de la anterior gran Crisis para evolucionar la trama, tomando el protagonismo Jaque Mate (entroncando con la fantástica serie guionizada por Rucka) y aprovechando algún concepto de manera brillante para plantear la resistencia de la Tierra.Sigue siendo necesario el complemento explicativo pero el guión trepidante y la acción continua te mantienen enganchado.
