Plot

s Nick Fury watches on his surveillance screens, the Dire Wraiths launch an all-out assault on the S.H.I.E.L.D. Heli-carrier. The attack is barely foiled by the quick actions of Fury and Dugan but the realization of the Wraith threat is now clear to all. Later Fury, with Rom and Starshine at his side, give their report to the President of the United States. They are then ushered off to the Pentagon where strategies are argued. Later the President makes an announcement to the world of the presence of the Dire Wraiths. He describes how they slay and take people's identities and that the Earth is at war.
