La 71ª aventura de Lucky Luke fue la última historia larga escrita por Goscinny antes de su trágica muerte. Aquí vuelve al estilo de otros álbumes como "El ferrocarril en la pradera" pero este tomo, aunque entretenido, no es tan divertido.

Es un muy buen album, para aquel que quiera leer algo con gags y gracioso, tal vez esta historia no es la indicada. Sin embargo, el mismo da cuenta de como fue el crecimiento de la red telegráfica en Estados Unidos.
