La premisa de partida es una clara analogía con el Covid y su impacto en nuestra sociedad. En Humans Remains unos monstruos sin origen conocido atacan de manera indiscriminada a todo aquel que muestre sus emociones. Afectando esto no sólo a nuestra forma de socializar (como sucedió durante la pandemia del Covid) si no también a nuestra propia naturaleza humana. Una forma muy curiosa de escribir sobre sensaciones y sentimientos parecidos pero sin tratar directamente un tema actualmente muy manido. Se podría decir, exagerando, que el dibujo, el color, el arte y el diseño parece buscar el contraste entre la brutalidad y lo cuqui. La portada, contraportadas, cubiertas y sobrecubiertas son un claro ejemplo. Dónde fondos con tonos pastel, y motivos y estampados florales contrastan con las formas óseas, brutales y sangrientas de los monstruos. El color juega en todo momento con el uso de tonos oscuros/pastel y los intensos sombreados y tintas gruesas del dibujo transmiten opresión.
