Un grupo de X-Men a cargo de Magik va a enfrentarse a Trevor Fitzroy y sus nuevos Upstairs, quienes pretenden asesinar nuevos mutantes y transmitirlo en vivo. Los X-Men los derrotan y salvan a la chica llevándola a la Fábrica. Fitzroy trabaja para Sugar Man, quien quiere averiguar quien está detrás de este hackeo al gen X.

quentin y kwannon ausentes por un rescate psiquico (xmen 5). Magik, temple y juggernaut van a por trevor fitzroy a detroit, un mutante que junto a ex miembros de x-statix matan mutantes en directo y esta creando todo un culto. Scott obliga a ir a hank con ellos, quien se queja por tener trabajo en la base como descubrir algo que le ha pasado a magneto (bomba de relojería ambulante). Magik no traga al grupo de picara. Detras de trevor esta el hombre de azucar, que quiere saber quien y como han descifrado el gen-x para crear mutantes en adultos. El grupo tiene que habilitar mas parte de la fabrica para todos los mutantes que estan rescatando y magik juega al ajedrez online con ¿coloso?
