Segundo tomo y Conan ya tiene su pajarita con simulador de voz, sus zapatos a reacción y gafas localizadoras. También aparecen unos tirantes ¿hidráulicos? que no tendrían mucho futuro. En este tomo conocemos también a los jovenes detectives (Ayumi, Genta y Mitsuhiko) y los hombres de negro asesinan a la hermana de un personaje inportantísimo en el futuro de la serie que aún tardará en aparecer: Haibara
