Plot
Only a short while after the first superheroes entered the scene, they were followed by a host of scrappy teenage sidekicks. Batman had Robin. The Flash had Kid Flash. Green Arrow had Speedy. Aquaman had Aqualad.
By 1964 there were enough of these young heroes-in-training to form their own team—the Teen Titans! This youthful Junior Justice League came together to aid other youngsters and stomp out evil wherever they found it—all with the style and slang of the swinging ’60s. Dig it?

Empieza aquí la andadura de los Teen Titans, en una colección muy de su época y reflejo de cómo veía el guionista, y seguramente DC, la sociedad americana y sobre todo, la juventud. Eso hace que para mí todo tenga más bien sabor a años 50 que a segunda mitad de los sesenta. A pesar de todo, el tomo es muy entretenido y fácil de leer. Son todo historias de un solo número cortadas por el mismo patrón, y sin evolución de los personajes, aunque sí hagan referencia a números anteriores. En cuanto al dibujo, Nick Cardy resuelve la papeleta sin demasiados alardes y solo destaca "negativamente" por algunos diseños ciertamente horteras. Finalmente, lo que me ha sorprendido es que entre los villanos no aparezca ninguno de los villanos de Batman, Wonder Woman, Flash o Aquaman, cuyos "sidekicks" son los protagonistas de la serie.
