Plot
Batman es secuestrado por el Deacono Blackfire, líder de un culto en las alcantarillas de Gotham. Blackfire intenta lavarle el cerebro, pero Batman lucha contra el control, mientras Gordon y Robin buscan liberarlo.
La historia muestra el ascenso del culto, explorando temas de manipulación y poder, mientras Batman enfrenta no solo a los criminales de Gotham, sino también sus propios demonios internos.
Dibujado por Bernie Wrightson y escrito por Jim Starlin, el cómic establece un tono oscuro y siniestro que define la serie.

Me parece un dibujo y color malísimo,no me gusta este dibujante para nada el tal BERNI WRIGHTSON,y el guión de STARLIN cuesta de entender la historia,en fin de momento este primer número me ha resultado malísimo,,,por cierto el color de BILL WRAY ,,,pesimo,,,una estrella
