Former noblewoman Lysithea Del Arman is on the run for her life, but has been waylaid at an abandoned mansion with her broker, Taron Cardis. Thanks to a raging snowstorm, she’s narrowly missed her opportunity to leave the country by boat and must now wait until spring. But at least with Taron, Lysithea feels safe. Safe from the horrors of the outside world, and especially from Phantom, the assassin who’s been hired to kill her.
