Plot
Clark investigates the mysterious crashes of military aircraft manufactured by the Elmont Aircraft Corporation, and discovers that their test pilots have reported strange elves invading their cockpits, causing them to lose control. No one believes them until Clark and Lois fall victim to the Squiffles, as they call themselves, then Superman steps in to take charge of the matter.

💭Otra historia con los nazis y la II Guerra Mundial, pero ésta, por suerte, es más original y entretenida. Unos duendecillos llamados squiffles hacen una visita a un Hitler insomne por el avance del frente ruso y la entrada en la guerra de los norteamericanos. Estos seres prestan su ayuda al dictador, y se dedican a sabotear los aviones aliados. Superman se enfrenta a estos bichos pero busca aliados, que no son otros que gremlins. Antes de la famosa película de Spielberg, los gremlins tenían presencia en leyendas desde el siglo XV. Durante el siglo XX, se dedicaban a averiar maquinaria y los pilotos les atribuían la culpa de los fallos en sus aviones. Superman les pide ayuda y estos luchan contra los squiffles. Al final de la historia, los squiffles vuelven a hablar con Hitler para cobrarse su deuda. En un giro inesperado del final del episodio, un squiffle posee el cuerpo de Adolf Hitler. Desconozco si en historias posteriores se hará referencia a esto hecho.
