Plot
Clark arrives for a date with Lois, who is making a donation to the Brentwood Rehabilitation Home. Clark tells her that the place is more interested in money than their young charges. Lois decides they should visit the home so that she can disprove Clark. After a pleasant visit, Lois and Clark are stopped by a charge, Davey Merrill, who cut his hands climbing the wall just to ask for something to eat. Once they feed him, he tells them all about the horrible conditions at the home.

Como pasa habitualmente en esta etapa, la portada tiene poco que ver con el contenido, parece que las cogen al azar de viñetas de números anteriores. Un episodio interesante en el que destaco que Lois muestra cierto aprecio por Clark, lo que es ciertamente novedoso. La historia sobre un orfanato con maltrato infantil es interesante y muestra las más amables facetas del superhéroe. Y aunque no es de esperar nada demasiado épico en esta fase de villanos más mundanos, son divertidas las viñetas en que Superman repele los ataques del malvado. Entre otras cosas, muerde un atizador incandescente. Todo acaba bien como es de rigor, con rescate de unos niños y Lois después de que fueran enjaulados. El orfanato cambia de dueños y todos contentos, con una historia que no será muy memorable pero que está muy bien llevada.
