Comienza un nuevo arco, ya apuntado en el número anterior, de los que tan bien le sientan a Spiderman relacionados con la mafia y las guerras de bandas. Kingpin se presenta aquí en todo su esplendor como un temible villano y Jonah Jameson ya empieza a mostrar capas adicionales al cliché de hater de Spiderman y a dar muestras de integridad a pesar de todo. Además aparece por primera vez Robbie Robertson, todavía sin mencionar.
