Plot

Cutter and his band meet the Gliders.

Strongbow is being held prisoner by the crafty Winnowill for charges of murder. While he is imprisoned, as warden, Winnowill tortures him with diabolical dark sendings.

Pike, Treestump, and Moonshade are also in Blue Mountain but not on any charges. They are forced into menial tasks by the Chosen Eight (10 in elf-counting).

Cutter meets Lord Voll, and by the end of the issue, Winnowill announces "We are the High Ones". Cutter feels satisfied about meeting more of his kind, and so despite the circumstances of their meeting, asks Lord Voll to stay and become acquainted.

Lord Voll, whos great dream is universal-elf progeny and prosperity, meets Ember, and because his hope for elfkind is renewed, forgives Strongbow.
