Hulkling y Wiccan llegan adónde se ha asentado Grootfall y se encuentran con los Guardians, quienes han sido poseídos o algo así. Grootfall está en un ciclo vital para florecer y las personas que creían muertas, las ha absorbido. Hulkling decide que se les deje en paz hasta completar su ciclo, pero la emperatriz Spartax no está de acuerdo.
